In 1850, Benjamin F Ahn Sr and wife Lydia were farming at East Whiteland, Chester, Pennsylvania with five children:[1]

In 1860, Benjamin and Lydia Ahn were farming at East Brandywine in Chester County (Post Office Guthrieville). Living at home were children: George D, age 13 and Rachel M, age 7. Also in residence were Sarah R Boyce, age 17, hired girl and Sarah A Powel, age 21, no relationship identified.[2][3]
In 1870, Benjamin and Lydia Ahn were living on Church Street in Philadelphia.[4] The couple remained at the same residence and in 1880 they are shown as living on Church Street. Benjamin is identified as an invalid and Lydia was working as a seamstress.[5]

DIED.--AHN.--on the 23rd inst., Lydia Y., widow of the late Benjamin Ahn. The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral service this (Monday) evening at 8 o'clock at her late residence, 3808 Church Street. To proceed to East Brandywine Baptist Church Tuesday morning on the 11:40 a.m. train from Powelton Avenue station.
