Biography

Joseph Griffith was an early pioneer in Iowa. Joseph Griffith was born on 19 Dec 1824 in Tuscarawas, Tuscarawas, son of Nathan Griffith (1795 - 1888) and Priscilla Wardell (~1800 - ~1856).

His siblings were:

Joseph Griffith was married to Mahala Griffith, who may have been a descendant of Cheepoake (Harris) Moore., a remnant of the North Carolina Cheraw tribe.
