This Biography has additionally been edited by Joel Wiesner, descendant of Joseph Griffith and follower of the significant genealogy that can be traced through the Barton and Griffith lines. Joseph Griffith was married to Mahala Griffith, who may have been a descendant of Cheepoake (Harris) Moore., a remnant of the North Carolina Cheraw tribe.
