Samuel Griffith passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank Wilson of Gainesville Friday evening, February 21, 1919.

Mr. Griffith formerly resided at Lamont where he had many warm friends, he was a member of the Lamont church and led the choir many leads. His wife passed away 12 years ago last October.

The funeral was held Monday afternoon, February 24th, at 2 o'clock the home of Mr.& Mrs. Frank Wilson. The Rev. Ruben Tunmer, pastor of the M.E. church officiated. Burial at Lamont cemetery beside his wife. He leaves to mourn his loss one son, Elbert Griffith of Glen Falls, NY; and four daughters, Mrs. George Randall of Castile, NY, Mrs. Frank Wilson of Gainesville, NY, Mrs. Ellsworth Griffith of Wyoming, NY and Mrs. Henry Davis of Buffalo, NY. His age was 93.
