Biography

Robert Griffith was born in 1825 in Stephentown, Rensselaer, New York to Hezekiah Griffith and Millicent Beers.

By 1830, the Griffith family had settled in Concord, Erie, New York. In 1850, Robert was farming with his father and brothers, David and Peter, in Concord.[1]

In 1860, Robert lived in his parents' Concord household that also included their grandson, Lucius Flint. Robert and his father were farmers.[2]

Robert married Mrs. Harriet S. Freeman of Colden on October 23, 1871. [3] In 1875, they lived in Colden, Erie, New York.[4]

Robert, age 67, and Harriet, age 74, were still living in Colden in 1892. Robert was employed as a mechanic.[5]

Robert died on June 23, 1898 Glenwood, Erie, New York and was buried in the Griffith Cemetery in East Concord. [6] [7]
