Biography

Mary (Griffiths) Williams was born in Wales.

Mary Griffiths was born in Wales, about 1829, the daughter of John Griffiths and Martha Coles. Although her death certificate says she was born in Dowlais, Glamorgan, she was baptised on 10 May 1829 at Penally, Pembrokeshire.^[1]

Mary Griffiths, daughter of John Griffiths and Martha Coles, married John Williams, son of David Williams and Elizabeth Russell, at Merthyr Tydfil, Glamorgan in 1849.^[2][3] The had 13 children including:

Mary's husband, John, passd away on 13 August 1893 at Lambton, near Newcastle, NSW.

Mary Wiliams (Griffiths) passed away on 9 March 1903, aged 73.^[4]
