Biography

Martha was born in 1913. In the 1920 she was living with her parents David (47) and Amanda (Unknown) (36) Griffith and her siblings Sarah (13), Edith (11), Lottie (8), infant, and stepbrother Elvan Hedges (12).^[1] In 1930 a Martha Griffith (16) was a maid in Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California. Information fits for Martha except for the birth place of her father which was Oklahoma. Moreover, from the marriage license application six years later, she was living in California then and not too far from LA.^[2] She and Robert Iwan Schultz married in 1936 after getting a marriage license on March 25 in Yuma Arizona. She was living at 1920 State St., San Diego, CA. His address was listed as the U.S.S. Richmond. ^[3], which was probably based at Naval Base San Diego. Sometime after Robert Schultz died in 1951, she married twice more: Edward Synder (or Snyder) in Bothell, King, WA and then Wally Peck in Marysville, Snohomish, WA.^[4] She died in 1974 from lung cancer in Marysville, Snohomish, WA.^[5] and his buried at Evergreen Washelli Cemetery, Seattle, King, WA. ^[6]
