Biography

Mary (Griffiths) Dickson came free to the Colony of Victoria (1851-1900)

Mary was born in 1845, the daughter of Evan Griffiths and Eleanor Hughes. She was baptised on the 17 August 1845.[1]

Mary came to Australia in 1859 to work as a house maid to David Baker of Bullarook.

In 1863, Mary Griffiths married Charles Dickson.[2]

Mary was one of the many women who signed the Women's Suffrage Petition[3] in 1891.[4]

Mary passed away in 1913, aged 69.[5]
