James was baptised on 29th July 1873 at St James in Wednesbury, Staffordshire. [2]
In 1881, James was living with his parents, two younger siblings and two servants in Rosliston, Staffordshire / Derbyshire. [3]
In 1891, James was living with his parents and brother in Whinburgh, Norfolk. He was a 17-year-old scholar. [4]
In 1901, James was a 28-year-old school master and organist residing in Monkton Combe, Somerset. He was single. [5]
James was a professional musician.
James married Kathleen Teasdel in 1920 in Hammersmith, London, England. [6]
James passed away in 1940 at the age of 67. His death was registered in Hendon, Middlesex. [7]
