Faye Grimsby graduated from Marquette Senior High School in 1975 with Honors. (Marquette,Michigan) While attending NMU Faye pledged Delta Zeta Sorority ( Zeta Omega chapter) in the Fall semster of 1975. She was initiated in January of 1976. Faye Grimsby graduated from Northern Michigan University in 1979 with A Bachelor of Science degree, Magna Cum Laude, In Psychology/Social Work.

Faye Grimsby graduated from Michigan State University in 1981 with a Master of Social Work degree.

Faye attended Thomas Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan in 2004.
