Biography
George was born in 1756. He was the son of White Griswold and Elizabeth Cheney.
He married Esther Johnson (1756–1839). They had the following children:
Lewey (Lewis) Griswold 1786–1820
Emily Griswold b. 1788
Esther Griswold b. 21 Oct 1791
George William Griswold b. 23 May 1794
Julius Johnson Griswold 1800-1865
He passed away in 1821. Buried at East Cemetery, Manchester, Hartford County, Connecticut.
