Frederick Grocock was born in Lincolnshire, England.

Frederick John Grocock was born on 20 Oct 1904^[1] in Boston, Lincolnshire, England. He was the son of Richard Grocock and Elizabeth Peck and his birth was registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec quarter of 1904 in the Boston district.^[2][3]

The Grocock family lived at 25 Wormgate in Boston where they owned and ran a bakery and confectionery business. In 1909, Frederick's father died but his mother continued to run the bakery.^[2]

On 11 October 1928, Frederick (age 23) married Ada May Naylor (age 22) in St Botolph's parish church in Boston; their fathers were recorded as Richard Henry Grocock and Frederick Naylor^[4] and the marriage was registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec quarter of 1928 in the Boston district.^[5]

After the birth of their first child, Frederick and Ada moved to Nottinghamshire where Frederick worked as an Electrical Vehicle Fitter/Mechanic servicing the buses for Nottingham Corporation. Their second child was born in Nottinghamshire.

Frederick was buried on 13 Nov 1963 and his death (age 84) was registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec quarter of 1963 in the NEWARK district.^[6]
