Biography

Charles Clauser Groff was born 16 January 1865 in Earl Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania, USA. He was the son of John Groff and Caroline Clouser.

1880s

In 1880, Charles Groff (16) lived in Earl with his father John (49), mother Caroline (50), older brother William (18), and younger siblings Elmira (14), John (10), Harrison M (7), and Hannah S (5). [1]

On 15 Mar 1886, Charles (21) married Mary Alice Fritz (23) in Reading, Berks County. [2] [3]

1890s

In 1890, his daughter Jennie Groff was born. In 1891, his daughter Minerva Groff was born. In 1897, his son Ralph Groff was born.

1900s

In 1900, Charles Groff (35) lived in Earl Township with his wife Mary Allis (38), daughters Jennie (10) and Minerva (9), and son Ralph (3). [4]

In 1904, his son Allen Groff was born. In 1906, his daughter Lottie Groff was born.

1910s

In 1910, Charles Grofe (45) lived in Earl with his wife Alice (47) and children Minerva (17), Ralph (13), Allen (6), and Lottie (4). [5]

1920s

In 1920, Charles C Grofe (53) lived in Earl with his wife Alice (55), son Allen (16), and daughter Lottie (14). [6]

1930s

In 1930, Charles Groff (65) lived in Earl with his wife Alice (67). [7]

He passed away in 1936. He was buried at Hill Church Union Cemetery in Boyertown, Berks County. [8]
