Marie Adèle was the daughter of carpenter Zephirin Groleau and Rose Mathieu. She was born 1 Oct 1858 and baptized the same day in St-Charles-des-Grondines. Her godparents were Edouard Barry and Angèle Breau. The father signs: Zephirin Groliau. [1]
On 19 Nov 1878, in St-Georges-de-Windsor, Albini Fréchette adult son of Joseph Fréchette and Flavie Lemay married Adèle Groleau minor daughter of carpenter Zéphirin Groleau and the late Rose de Lima (Mathieu is added contemporaneously in the margin), previously of Montréal and now of unknown residence. Witnesses included the groom's father, a friend of the bride, Jean Baptiste Bernard. The bride signs along with several Chrissostome and Rosaire Fréchette, Henriette Morissette and Julie Neveu. Marie Adèle Groleau Charpentier, 74 years and 3 months old wife of Albini Fréchette, died 28 Jun 1933. She was buried 2 days later in St-Aimé-d'Asbestos. Present were 2 of her sons: Victor and Ernest Fréchette who both sign along with several others. [4] [5]
