Biography

Abraham was born about 1836, the son of Abraham Grove[1] and Anna Strohm.[2] After the death of his mother, his father married Elizabeth Fretz about 1850. Their family lived in Markham, York, Canada West (Ontario).[3][4]

He married Barbara Smith on 24 May 1866.[5] Their family continued to live and farm in Markham.[6][7]

He married Mary Smith on 16 Sep 1890.[2] They lived in York (east/est), Ontario.[8]

In 1911, he was widowed and living with his son Jesse and his wife, Bertha.[9]

He passed away in 1916[1] and was buried in the Wideman Mennonite Cemetery in Markham, York, Ontario.
