Stephen was born 15 Sep 1726 in Killingly, Windham, Connecticut[1] and was baptized 6 Nov 1726 at Putnam.[2] He was the son of John Grover and Alice Covell. He passed away in 1798.
It is seen that he died 1798 in Cayuga, New York but no primary source documentation has been found.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Stephen by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Stephen:
The Pioneer Recollections of the Early 30s and 40s linked above does not provide actual documentation that Joseph is the son of this Stephen Grover (though the basic facts about Stephen are correct). Is there evidence of this Grover family living in Rhode Island where the son is said to have been born?
