Milton and Lizzie were 16 and 19 when they married. Milton, his brother Henry Street Rodgers, and Lizzie's mother, Elizabeth Jackson Grubbs died within two months of each other, all from the same disease, probably typhoid or cholera. Lizzie used to say her husband was buried on her 21st birthday, which would have been Oct 12, 1882. If that date is correct, then she was pregnant with their 2nd child when Milton died. However, all the other information I have, including the family Bible, is more consistent with October 1883. Lizzie was buried in Beulah Cemetery.
