Biography

Charles Gruer is an Anzac who served in World War One.

Charles Gruer was born in 1881 at Maclean, New South Wales, Australia. He was the youngest son of Charles Gruer and Euphemia MacAuley.[1]

He served in the Australian Imperial Force during the First World War; enlisted 24th March 1916, returned to Australia 11th December 1918.[2] He was a soldier in the 25th Australian Infantry Battalion, taking part in his first major battle at Pozieres between 25th July and 7th August 1916. [3]
