Mrs. Margaret L. Brubaker, 78, of 2065 Weber Rd., Gladwin, died Tuesday, April 27, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Glenna Hitchcock in Beaverton, following a short illness. Born in Beal City on August 6, 1897, she had lived in Gladwin County since 1921. Mrs. Brubaker was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The former Margaret Gruss, she was married to Wesley Curtis Brubaker on March 29, 1921, in Mt. Pleasant. He preceded her in death on May 31, 1970. Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Mort (Anna Lee) Shea, Mrs. Richard (Dorothy) Rellinger and Mrs. Herman (Betty) Wright of Gladwin, Mrs. Elroy (Glenna) Hitchcock and Mrs. Gilbert (Lucille) Lyons of Beaverton and Mrs. Robert (Donna) Murphy of Midland; three sons, Paul of Utica and Harold and Ronald (R. C.) of Beaverton; one sister, Mrs. Marie Shaw of Mt. Pleasant; 47 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Services were held Thursday at 11 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Church. The Rev. Father George Artman officiated and burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. A Rosary was said at 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Hall Funeral Home in Gladwin.
