Marie Guérin is an ancestral matriarch of the Acadian Arsenau family.

Marie was born around 1662 to parents François Guérin and Anne Blanchard.[1]

Sometime after the 1686 Census she married Pierre Arsenau, widower of Marguerite Dugas. Marie gave birth to 6 sons: Charles, Jacques, François, Claude (dit Ambroise), Augustin, and Abraham, and a daughter Anne.[1]

Marie died after April 25 1723. [1]

"Pierre Arsenault, pilote côtier, s'est marié deux fois. Vers 1675, il a épousé Marguerite Dugas, fille d'Abraham Dugas et de Marguerite Doucet, qui lui a donné deux fils. Vers 1685, il a convolé avec Marie Guérin, fille de François Guérin et d'Anne Blanchard, qui lui a donné six autres fils et une fille."[2]

Guerin-976 and Guérin-51 appear to represent the same person because: The date of birth is wrong on my side. I am very careful in what I put down Your computers are not very accurate in some cases

Guerin-976 and Guérin-51 do not represent the same person because: Can't be the same person if there is a 38 years difference

How could Marie born in 1700 have a son Abraham born in 1702? Please take a look at this family tree by genealogist Karen Theriot Reader citing genealogist Stephen White https://gw.geneanet.org/katheriot?lang=en&pz=frederick+joseph&nz=theriot&ocz=1&p=marie&n=guerin

Guerin-976 and Guérin-51 appear to represent the same person because: Date of birth is different but same spouse and same son Abraham who are also duplicates. Merging into Guérin which is the correct spelling.

Arceneaux-215 and Guérin-51 appear to represent the same person because: Same name. Same approx birth year. Checked with Isabelle and here is her response:

I reviewed the profile Arceneaux-215 and agree with your conclusions. I set up an unmerged match with Guérin-51 as I think this profile is really intended to be her. If you agree, you could change the Unmerged match to a merge. Perhaps the previous parents should be merged away into Guérin-51's parents as well. I hardly think they could be someone else?

The text says she married Arseneau sometime after the 1686 census, but they appear together on the 1686 census: Pierre ARSENAULT 40, Marie GUERIN 24; children: Pierre 10, Abraham 8.
