Biography
John Gubbins was baptized on 24 Aug 1665 at St. Andrew's Church in Great Rollright, Oxfordshire, England. He was the son of John Gubbins and his wife Sarah.[1]
John Gubbins of Rollright and Elizabeth Blizard of Long Compton married on 13 Apr 1691 at St. Mary the Virgin in Charlbury, Oxfordshire, England.[2] They had eight known children baptised at Great Rollright: John Gubbins (b. 1691), Elizabeth Gubbins (b. 1693), Sarah Gubbins (b. 1694), Joseph Gubbins (b. 1696), Mary Gubbins (b. 1698), Thomas Gubbins (b. 1701), Alice Gubbins (b. 1702), Richard Gubbins (b. 1706).
Note: John appears in some records as John Gubbins junior or John Gubbins the younger while his father was still alive.
John's wife Elizabeth Gubbins died in 1707.
John Gubbins died at the age of 63 years old, and was buried on 30 Oct 1728 at St. Andrew's Church in Great Rollright, Oxfordshire.[3]
