Biography
Mary (Gubbins) Hoare was born in England.
Mary Gubbins was estimated to have been born in or around 1732.[1]
When she was about 21 or 22 she married William Hoare (a mariner) on the 8th of January 1754 at Canford Magna in Dorset.[2]
William was one of many mariners from Canford Magna listed on this transcription Fishermen, Mariners & Seamen of Poole 1701-1800, a nearby harbour.
On the 31st August 1755 (when Mary was about 23) they baptised a son John Hoare at Canford Magna.[3]
The couple had a daughter called Mary who was baptised on the 11th of December 1771 at Canford Magna.[4] Mary would have been about 39 at the time.
Mary was buried on the 10th October 1801 at Canford Magna. Her age was given as 69.[5]

1. The sources I have provided here, were found behind the Ancestry.com paywall by searching Public member trees for Mary Gubbins b1833 +/-2 years, selecting a tree and then selecting relevant records attached to Mary and/or close relatives. 2. The Ancestry trees have profiles for the parents of Mary Gubbins and also additional children (siblings of John & Mary Hoare) BUT I did not find any reliable records associated with these people.
