Charles (Charlie) Gubbins was born in Managua Nicaragua on December 20th 1957. Son of Anthony Beausire Gubbins, and Vilma Patricia Sevilla, he has lived in may countries, but now is settled in Sotogrande southern Spain. Having first hand experience in living in over twelve different countries, in Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, Asia Pacific, and Europe, Charlie has the, knowledge and appreciation of culture differences and languages.
Since 1976 Charlie has been visiting Sotogrande, and has been fully resident since 2005. Sotogrande is the largest resort and privately owned luxury residential development in Southern Spain. It is located at the entrance to the Mediterranean Sea 25 km north east of Gibraltar.
Languages: English, Spanish and French fluently.
EDUCATION, TRAINING & PERSONAL INFORMATION: General Management Programme Ashridge Business School UK. 1992 BA. Honours International Marketing (2:1) degree taken between 1978 and 1982, with a year in industry spent in Mexico working in market research. COMMUNITY INTERESTS AND ACTIVITIES: Keen golf and rugby fan, having played the game at senior level. Keep fit by regularly working out at a gym, and enjoy cycling.
