Nancy M Gudgel was born 19 Dec 1831 in Gibson County, Indiana. She was the daughter of William Thomas Gudgel and Lucy Thurman.^[1]

Nancy married Lorenzo Dow Douglas on 28 Mar 1850 in Gibson County, Indiana.^[2]

In 1870, the family consisted of Lorenzo and Nancy with children Cornelius, Lucy, William, Mary, Andrew, Henry, Adella and Ajetty^[6] In the 1880 Census, the family consisted of Lorenzo and Nancy with children Mary, Andrew, Henry, Nellie, Oscar and granddaughter, Ada M Douglas.^[7]

Nancy died 25 March 1893 in Gibson County, Indiana. She was 61 years old. She was buried in the New Mount Moriah Cemetery in Fort Branch, Gibson County, Indiana.^[1]
