Biography

Michel Clement was born 23 Nov 1774. He was the son of Jacques Guertin and his wife Marguerite Chamberland. He was baptized the next day in Verchères, godparents were his uncle Michel Chamberland and Josephe Guertin, no signatures. ^[1]

On 5 Jul 1802, in St-Ours, Michel Guertin 24 year old son of Jacques Guertin and Marguerite Chamberland married Marie Louise Girard 18 year old daughter of François Girard and Marie Louise Deguire. Witnesses include both fathers and several other named relatives, two signatures of friends. ^[2]

Michel Clement Guertin, 60 year old husband of Marie Louise Girard, died 21 Jul 1836. He was buried 2 days later in Contrecoeur. ^[3]
