1871 census: with her parents and siblings at Blacker Hill (between Hoyland and Worsborough)
1881 census: with her parents and siblings at 30 Wentworth Road, Worsborough. She was a grocer's assistant in her father's shop.
1886 Q3 Married John William Royston (Barnsley, Volume: 9c Page: 229)
1891 census: at Market Street, Hoyland Nether, with husband and two children (Jessie, age 3, Amy Marina, age 1)
1901 census: at Greenside, Hoyland Nether, with husband and five children (Jessie, Florence, Mary Frances, Clara, Elsie )
1908 John William Royston died
1911 census: a widow at 23 Mount Street, Barnsley ( a small stone terraced house), with 7 daughters and one son (as above plus Ernest, 9, and Mirriam, 3) Clara and John had 11 children, 9 still living.
