Frederich was born in 1851 in Ohio to Augustus Guider/Geuther (1810-1870) and Christina (Daniel) GuiderGeuther (1812-1852). In 1860, they were living in Washington, Hardin, Ohio, USA.
Research Notes
Frederich does not appear in the 1870 census. He was 19, so he might have been working on a neighbor's farm, visiting others, or he could have been dead.
There is an image attached for a Frederick Guider who died in 1881 and left a large estate. It seems highly unlikely that a middle child of a farmer with an enormous family would have been able to earn such a huge amount of money, so I can't help but wonder if this is for the right Frederick. If so, how did he make his money?
