GUILFOYLE—DUNTON—On Aug. 16 at Holy Trinity Church, Mackay by Rev. Canon Crozier, Hugh, third son of Mr. J. Guilfoyle (Homebush), to Ethel Maude, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Dunton, Mackay.

Hugh and Ethel had a son, Ronald Hugh Guilfoyle who was born in 1914 at Queensland, Australia. [3] Ronald Hugh Guilfoyle died 13 August 1990 at at Calvary Hospital, Canberra, ACT, Australia. [4]

Hugh was employed as a mill overseer at Pleystowe Sugar Mill, Mackay. He enlisted on 01 April 1916 at Mackay, Queensland to serve with the Australian Army during World War 1. On 2 May 1916, Hugh applied to be discharged from service with the Australian Army because of his wife, Ethel suffered from Rheumatism. His application was granted. [5] [6]

Hugh Guilfoyle passed away 19 July 1917 at Queensland, Australia. [7]
