Murtile Guillory is a descendant of an Acadian

Murtile Guillory, daughter and youngest child of Valerie Guillory and Genevieve Manuel, was born about 1841 in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana. Her father was listed as age sixty when he was counted on the 1850 census in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana, with his wife and five children at home. "Mirthele" was listed as age 9.[1]

She married the widowed Cyville Vidrine at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Washington, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana in late 1880.[2][3] He may have been her sister's widower; his first wife's name was Emeline Guillory.[4][5]
