Biography

Alexis Brod is on the Wall of Names at the Acadian Memorial in St. Martinville, Louisiana Plaque 10 Left L'Amitie, Arrivee le 7 Novembre 1785. Listed with Alexis is his spouse Marie Guillot and their daughter Margueritte, his neveu Fabien Guillot, and his cousin Jean Gotreau. [1]
Marie Joseph Buillot, daughter of Rene Guillot and Marguerite Doiron, was born about 1723 in Cobeguit, Acadia [2] She was recorded on the La Roque census at Pointe Prime, Isle Saint-Jean (present-day Prince Edward Island) with her father and brother Jean-Baptiste, both widowed, and Jean-Baptiste's children. [3]
Marie Josephe married Alexis Breau, son of Pierre and Anne Francoise Dupuis about 1752 in Acadia. Page: BREAU #30[4]They had 6 children:

Residence

Alexis Braud, Marie Guillot, his wife and their children: Charles, Madeleine, Anne, Marie and Victoire were deported by the British from Acadia. They disembarked at St. Malo on March 9, 1759 from the British ship, du Supply. They resided at Trigavou, Brittany, France, 1759-1773. Their youngest 3 children were born in Trigavou, Cotes d'Armor, France. [5]

In 1785, she immigrated to Louisiana, along with her husband Alexis, daughter Marguerite, one nephew, and one cousin. They departed La Rochelle, France, aboard the L'Amitié, a merchant vessel chartered by the Spanish government to transport Acadian exiles to New Orleans.     He has Marie Joseph Guillot, his daughter, aged 29 years.
    Jean Baptiste Guillot, native of l'Acadie, aged 31 years.
    He has one son and two daughters:-
    Charles Olivier, aged 6 years.
    Elisabeth, aged 4 years.
    Marie Joseph, aged 2 years.
    And in stock, two cows and one calf. The land upon which they are settled is situated as in the preceding cases. It was given to them verbally by Monsieur de Bonnaventure. On it they have made a clearing for the sowing of four bushels of wheat in the coming spring.
