François Xavier GUIMOND , fils de François et Marie Angélique SIMON, est né le 8 juin 1750 et baptisé le 17 juin à Cap-St-Ignace. Son parrain a été François GUIMOND et sa marraine, Marie Angélique VANDALE. [1]

Il épouse Marie Claire LAMBERT, fille de Pierre Marie et Thérèse BARABE [sic], le 10 janvier 1774 à Maskinongé. L'Acte se retrouve également à Louiseville (St-Antoine-de-la-Rivière-du-Loup). [2] Leurs enfants connus sont (Source: IGD):

Biography

François Xavier GUIMOND was born on June 8, 1750 at Cap-St-Ignace. François was the first of 13 known children born to François GUIMOND and Marie Angelique SIMON DRAGON. [4]

François Xavier married Marie Claire Suzanne LAMBERT CHAMPAGNE on January 10, 1774 in Louiseville (St-Antoine-de-la-Rivière-du-Loup) (today in Quebec, Canada). Together they had 11 known children [5]

  1. Françoise (b. October 24, 1774)
  2. François (b. September 24, 1776)
  3. Therese (b. July 3, 1779)
  4. Marie Josephe (b. May 1, 1781)
  5. Amable (b. July 2, 1783)
  6. Jacques (b. May 16, 1785)
  7. Anonyme (b. December 14, 1787) died as infant
  8. Pierre (January 5, 1789) died young
  9. Marie Louise (February 27, 1791) died young
  10. Marie Marguerite (b. February 14, 1794)
  11. Marie Angelique (b. March 15, 1796) died young

= François died and was buried on August 4, 1822 at Lotbiniere, Quebec. His wife died 20 years later on November 29, 1842.
