Biography

Josephine Alexandra Guimont was born on October 30, 1875 in Dayton, Hennepin, Minnesota to Louis Guimont and Mary Lapointe[1].

In 1880, Josephine and her family were residing in Dayton. Their household consisted of Loue Gimmo, a farmer; his wife Mary; and their children: Anne, Exen, George, Loue, Mary, Exedor, Josephene, Jane, and Napolean[2].

In 1885, the family was still residing in Dayton. Their household consisted of Louis Guimont; his wife Mary; and their children: Louis, Mary, Josephine, Jennie, Paul, Addie, and Louisa[3].

Josephine married Alex Ladue around 1896. They had one daughter:

  • Mable Ladue born November 28, 1897[4] and died January 4, 1903 in Plymouth[5]

Josephine died on October 24, 1898 at the age of twenty-two of consumption[6].

Research Notes

  • No matter how hard I've tried, I cannot find any information on Alex Ladue. I cannot find any marriage record between Josephine or Alex, but Mable's birth record states she's legitimate.
