Obituary excerpt: Mrs. Cherry Guin Box, 64, of Leesville, died at 8:10 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, 1971 in a Pineville hospital. She is survived by her husband, Ellis Box of Leesville; one daughter; three brothers; two sisters; and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Hixson's in Leesville with Rev. Aubrey Boswell officiating. Burial was in Marthaville Cemetery.
