(The Galveston Daily News February 20, 1982 section A page 6) Mary Moody Services for Mary Margaret Guinard Moody, 81, of Galveston, will be 1 p.m. today at J. Levy & Bro. Funeral Home in Galveston, the Rev. John Caskey officiating. Burial will be at Episcopal Cemetery in Galveston following services. Mrs. Moody was born March 13, 1901, in Galveston. She died Thursday at St. Mary’s Hospital in Galveston. She was descended from a pioneer Galveston family. Her grandfather, John F. Guinrd, came to Galveston from France in 1842. Her father, Claude Marie Guinard, was a founding member of the Galveston Artillery Club. Mrs. Moody was a talented pianist and graduated from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. She was a prominent member of the Girls’ Musical Club of Galveston. She is survived by her daughter, Bambe Allen Wilson of Warrenton, Va.; a son-in-law, J. H. Tyler Wilson of Warrenton; a son, Edward Rudge Allen Jr. of Houston; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Crow Allen of Houston; and six grandchildren, James Tyler Wilson, Eileen Allen Wilson and Allen Morgan Wilson, all of Warrenton, and Edward Rudge Allen III, Randolph Fairfax Allen and Wilson Guinard Allen, all of Houston. Pallbearers will be Earl R. Kelso, Larry D. Kelso, Risher Randell and Edward Randell III, honorary pallbearers will be Bartlett D. Moore Jr., John Harris, Sealy Hutchings Jr., Harris Kempner, Louis Pauls, Robert K. Hutchings and Kenneth H. Shelton. Visitors may call at the funeral home after 8 a.m. today.
