Harriett Ellen Guinness was born on 28 November 1839 in Ireland, her father William Guinness of the famous Guinness brewing family was 29, and her mother, Harriette Trench, was 27.
Her mother died soon after she was born. Her father remarried.
She married Brabazon John Barlow on 5 June 1866 at St Lukes, St Helier's, Jersey, Channel Islands.
They had four children during their marriage.
Her husband died in 1900.
UK Census Date 31 March 1901: Recorded as a Visitor in the household of Joseph and Matilda Collings in Grosvenor Street, St Helier, Jersey, Channel Islands. Aged 70. Also in the household was her daughter Ada.
She died in 1931 at the age of 92.
