Susan Jane Guinness was born in 1805 She was the daughter of Benjamin Guinness and Rebecca Lee. She married Reverend William Smythe Lee-Grattan-Guinness, son of Arthur Guinness and Anne Lee, on 9 March 1826. She died in 1861. From 28 February 1856, her married name became Grattan-Guinness.
