Arthur was born on 8 May 1912. He was the son of Rupert Guinness 2nd Earl of Iveagh and Lady Gwendolen Onslow.
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England and at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.
He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Artillery.
Arthur married Lady Elizabeth Cecilia Hare (daughter of Richard Granville Hare, 4th Earl of Listowel and Hon. Freda Vanden-Bempde-Johnstone) on 22 July 1936 at Westminster St. Margaret, London, England.[1]
They had 3 children.
He was styled as Viscount Elveden.
Arthur fought in the Second World War and was killed in action on 8 February 1845 in The Netherlands. He was 32 years of age.
