Hannah was born in Wavertree, an area in Liverpool, Lancashire, England, on June 12, 1900. ^[1] Her parents were William Guinness, and Eliza Dilworth. Hannah was baptized on July 4, 1900, at St Dunstan, Edge Hill. ^[2] It appears Hannah resided with her parents in the Wavertree area of Liverpool, ^{[3] [4]} until her marriage in 1921.

Hannah married George Joseph Carruthers in 1921. ^[5] The marriage was registered in the fourth quarter, in West Derby. Hannah and George would have at least one child. Hannah passed away, in Liverpool, on August 4, 1977. ^[6] Her address at her time of death was listed as Kelton House, Providence Woodlands Road, Liverpool. Her Probate was administered on September 19, 1977, in Liverpool.
