Biography
Josephine Wilson Guion was born on December 8, 1889, in Lincolnton, North Carolina.[1] She was a 1914 graduate of Wellesley College with a Bachelor of Arts. She then taught at Sweet Briar College in Virginia for two years and then at the Woman’s College in Elmira, New York. Next, she taught physical education at Stanford University in California for six years.[2] On March 16, 1929 she married Ora Elmer Hunt in Manhattan, New York;[3] he was 56 years old and divorced and she was 39 years old and single. They had at least one child:
- Katherine Guion Hunt, born 21 Jul 1930 in Alameda County, California, USA
Ora died in 1969 and josephine died on April 19, 1982,[4] in Alameda, California,[5] at the age of 92, and was buried in West Point, New York next to Ora.[6]
