Biography

Albertina Maria Guito was probably born August 7, 1908 in Key West, Florida.[1] (She was listed in more than one census as born in Cuba which is unlikely, unless her parents were visiting Cuba when she was born.) She was the daughter of Guillermo Guito and Gertrude Carbonell..[2]

Albertina Guito married first Earl Pinder (son of Jonathan and Leonora Pinder) April 6, 1926 in Key West, Florida.[2] Albertina and Earl Pinder were divorced in 1929.[3]
Albertina had a son with Earl Pinder named Edward Pinder in 1827. He appeared with Albertina Russell in the 1930 US census.[4]

Albertina Guito married second William Samuel Russel (son of George and Bertha Russell) December 4, 1929 in Key West, Florida.[5]

Albertina Russell appeared in the 1930 US census in Key West, Florida. Her age is shown as 21, born in Cuba, immigrated in 1910 (??). The head of household is William Russell, age 27. Also listed is Albertina's son Edward Pinder, age 3. [4]

Albertina was left a widow when William Russel died on February 15, 1935 in Key West, Florida.[6] William Russell's obituary names his 4 children: daughter Maggie May (Magdalena) and sons William S, Franklin D, and Eugene Edward.

Albertina Russell appeared (with daughter Magdelina) in the 1935 Florida State census at 318 Fleming Street in Key West, Florida. She is listed as age 35, head of household, born in Cuba(?). Also listed are Magdeline Mae (4), William L. (3), Franklin D. (1) and Edward Pinder (8).[7]

Albertina Russell (widow) married third Waldo Valenzuela October 13, 1938 in Fort Lauderdale, Broward, Florida.[8] [9]

Albertina Valenzuela appeared (age 30) in the 1940 US census in Key West, Florida. Also listed are Waldo Valenzuela (28), Waldo Valenzuela Jr. (1) Edward E. Russell (13), Magdalen Mae Russel (9), William L. Russell (8), and Franklin D. Russel (6). They were all shown as born in Florida. [10]

Albertina Valenzuela appeared (age 33) (with daughter Magdelina) in the 1945 Florida State census in Key West, Florida. The record shows them in Ocala, Monroe, Florida, which is a clear error since it also shows the census precinct was Key West. Also at the residence were "Walter" Valenzuela (33) Edward E. Pinder (18), Magdelina Russel (14), Wm Russell (13), Frank Russell (11) and "Walter" Valenzuela Jr. (6). Edward, who had been listed as a Russell in previous censuses, was again Edward Pinder. [11]

Albertina Guito Valenzuela died Apr. 14, 1963 in Key West, Florida and was buried in the Key West Cemetery.[12] [13]
