Katherine was born 4 December 1847 in Wisconsin.[1][2] She was the daughter of Newton Gulick and Unknown Borman.[2]
James and Emily Gulick were living with their children in Frankville, Winnesheik, Iowa in 1860.[3] James was working as a farm laborer.
In 1866, Katherine and her parents came to Iowa.[1] She married William Gordon in 1867.[1] They made their home on a farm on Henderson Prairie, Clayton County, Iowa until 1920.[1] Katherine was a friend to many, quiet and unassuming.[1]
William and Katherine's family were living in Grand Meadow, Clayton County, Iowa in 1880.[4] William was farming and Catherine was keeping house.
The William Gordon family was living in Grand Meadow Township, Clayton County, Iowa in 1895.[5]
The Gordon Household included William, Catherine, Howard, Robert, and Frank.[6] Next door was William's brother, James. Both families were farming.
William and Catherine were living in Grand Meadow, Iowa in 1910.[7] Their son, Frank, was living with them. William was farming.
In 1920, William and Katherine moved to Postville, Iowa.[1][8]
Katherine passed away after a long battle with liver cancer and nephritis, 25 August 1932 in Postville, Iowa.[1][2]
