He married 3 times: 1st on Jan. 10, 1812 in Gallatin County, Kentucky to Margaret Wyant who died before 1826.
2nd in 1826 in Warsaw, Kentucky he married Sarah 'Sally' Wood, who died in Lebanon, Indiana;
3rd marriage on June 29, 1856 in Indiana he married Eva Young.
