He married Emily Charlotte Mabel Hodges on 27 February 1911 in West Maitland, New South Wales, Australia [2] and they were the parents of Violet M (Gulliver) Branch, Ernest W Gulliver, Douglas Gulliver, Una Aileen (Gulliver) Smith and Albert George Gulliver.
Ernest died on 18 December 1942 in Wyong, New South Wales, Australia [3].
