Biography
Philip was born on 29 June 1875 at his parent's residence at Wakefield Quay, Nelson.[1] He is the son of Philip Gully and Bessie Hodgson.
On 31 October 1899 he married Susan Ethel Mary Powell, youngest daughter of the late Thomas Powell of Wanganui, at St Peter's Wellington.[2]
