Vincenzo Gulotta is born around 1778 in Corleone, the son of Paolo Gulotta and Calogera Guadagna, who married in 1771.
Vincenzo marries Bernarda Palazzo, daughter of the late Calogero Palazzo and the living Anna Paternostro, on 22 September 1811. His father has died by this time.[1]
Vincenzo and Bernarda have at least seven children: Rosa (c. 1808), Calogera (c. 1815), Lucia (c. 1817), Paolo (c. 1818), Gaetano (c. 1820), Antonino (c. 1823), and Marianna (c. 1828).
Rosa is born around 1808, based on her reported age at the birth of one of her children.
Calogera is born around 1815, based on her reported age in the 1834 stato delle anime, a Church census.
Lucia is born around 1816-17, based on her reported ages in the 1834 stato delle anime and at her death.
Paolo is born around 1818, based on his age in the 1834 stato.
Gaetano is born around 1820, based on the same source.
Antonino is born around 1823, based on the same source.
Marianna is born around 1828, based on the same source, making her only fourteen when she marries. She is born four years after her father's death, according to this record.
Death of Vincenzo
Vincenzo dies at age 46 (b. 1778) on 10 December 1824. Bernarda survives him. This record calls Vincenzo's mother Calogera Oliveri.[2]
In 1834, Bernarda, 45 (b. 1789), Vincenzo's widow, and their children Calogera, 19 (b. 1815), Lucia, 17 (b. 1817), Paolo, 16 (b. 1818), Gaetano, 14 (b. 1820), Antonino, 11 (b. 1823), and Marianna, 6 (b. 1828), live in the piano del quartiero in Corleone.[4]
Marianna marries Girolamo Gagliano on 20 November 1842. Bernarda has also died by this time.[5]
Lucia marries Gaetano Bonanno on 26 November 1842.[6]
Antonino marries Lucia Crapisi on 13 January 1850.[7]
