Birth & Upbringing: Eliman was born in the Zaka District in 1956.
Family: He married Juliana and together they had twins, a boy and a girl, James and Juliet.
Education He was schooled in the Belingwe District at Morongwe School.
Vocation: Before he joined the Joined the BSA Police in April 1972 (as a Cadet) Eliman had worked in a farming area adjacent to the Belingwe communal lands; He attested into the regular force in July 1974 (Squad 17/74); Reg.No.22590; served until December 1978. He was posted to Victoria Province, Zaka Station.
Honours and Awards:
Demise: Murdered by terrorists while serving as a Constable with Duty Uniform in Zaka TTL (Operation Repulse).[1] [2].
Burial: Eliman Gumede was buried at his home in the Zaka District on 12 December 1978
