Mary Ann Gunn was born about 1797 in Great Dunmow, Essex, England. She is the daughter of John Gunn and Ann Bright.
Mary Ann married William Stokes on 24 October 1821 in Saffron Walden, Essex.[1][2] They had at least three children.
Alfred Stokes was born on November 18, 1823 in Saffron Walden.[3]
William Stokes was born on January 17, 1828 in Saffron Walden.[4]
Josiah Stokes was born on July 19, 1829 in Saffron Walden.[5]
In the 1841 census, Mary, aged forty-four, was living with her husband and family at Gold Street in Saffron Walden, Essex. [6] In the 1851 census, Mary, aged fifty-four, was living with her husband and family at Gold Street in Saffron Walden, Essex.[7] In the 1861 census, Mary, aged sixty-four was living with her husband and family in Saffron Walden, Essex.[8]
Mary Ann died at an age of eighty-one on 13 May 1878 in Great Dunmow. She was buried on May 17, 1878.[9]
