Hello Janet, I have to post this publically because you are not accepting emails without prior approval.
You seem to be under some misapprehension about the changes I made. I fully agree with you about collaboration, which is why, as a WikiTree team member, I changed to privacy level of the profiles you noted from Unlisted to Red Private level. The setting of Unlisted which you had certainly would prevent collaboration. None of the changed profiles had an Open or Public Privacy level. It is not for me to make them more open than the Red privacy level, as WikiTree rules allow WIkiTreers to maintain a Private level for immediate relatives of living people. Of course, that is a change that you can make if you want to further increase collaboration on those profiles by extending the change from the original Unlisted status toa more open privacy level than I selected. In actual fact, if you edited the date of birth of an Unlisted to anything before (currently) 1925, it would automatically change to the Orange Privacy level (even if the date was already before 1925).
The profiles which were Unlisted that I changed were automatically made Unlisted when the European GPDR rules came in some years ago. This was because there were penalties of up to 20 million Euros or 4 percent of turnover for a business that ignored the rules. Individuals can also be fined, but the penalty varies up to 10,000 Euros. Since then they have remained Unlisted as each year clicked over. I manually change them to red Private when they are discovered so that they then become discoverable. You cannot use the Unlisted privacy level if you create a profile with a birth date before 1925, but you can select a lower level of private, Public or Open.
I do also change profiles by adding a date when they should be unlisted, but had no date. That is not the case regarding your profiles. I must do this or I am in breach of the GPDR rules and liable fo be fined.
There were also a few profiles of yours which were changed from Public to Open as they now fell into being born more than 150 years ago, or died more than 100 years ago. This was as the result of an Open Profile Request by another WikiTreer.
I hope this explains everything. It is not possible to change those profiles back to Unlisted as the dates are outside the range where a profile can be Unlisted.
Many thanks for all your hard work on our great Clan! I've only been able to trace my lineage back as far as the mid-19th century so far, but I trust that eventually I'll connect my tree to some of the work you've done.
Best,
Jill Gunn
Thanks. I am very lucky that a 4th ? cousin, James M A Gunn, was nominated Sheriff of Nottingham in the mid 1980s. As a result, he did extensive genealogical research, to meet the standards of the Lyon Court. He also organized a gathering of (as many as he could find) the descendants of the John Gunn who is my 4th great grandfather. He later self-published the results of his research, and I have used that as a guiding source, until I got back to people covered in the main books on Clan Gunn.
Thanks so very much for your participation in the spring Clean-a-thon! Every suggestion you cleared (over 300!) made our Tree that much better. The WikiTree community appreciates YOU!
Hi Janet, Thank you for your message. Perhaps I can interest you in creating a space page for the R-38 Airship disaster in 1921. Then you could also post your ancestor, Charles Ivor Rae Campbell on the space page and perhaps other victims as well. . If that interests you it would involve you, and of course be a boon for the Disasters Project. Joan Williams Whitaker and Lizzie Griffiths are the new leaders and I am the Project Coordinator..
On behalf of the Disasters Project Leaders we are carrying out a check-in to see how all the members are doing and taking the opportunity to thank you for all your hard work in the past.
We have recently made a lot of changes. We are changing the focus of the project to include more about people involved in disasters and the effect it had on them and their families. We have divided the project into teams. Please have a look https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Disasters
Please let me know, by comment on my profile or a private message, whether you are still active in the project, and which team(s) you would like to work with. What are you enjoying most about being in the project? What would you like to see improved or changed?
The 'archive' (it's actually just part of a box ) contains, amongst other family records, a letter about the site of the manor. If you think that there is anything that might be of interest I could check it out for you

How have you contributed to the Worldwide Disasters project? (a contribution may be a space page for a disaster, disaster source, an edit for the space page, or profiles of people in disasters).
Have you any thoughts for other disaster space pages? Are you active in any subprojects?
I can help you with details of paternal grandparents of Roy G Gow and Francis S Gow, additional siblings of Roy and Francis. Also great- grand parents and great- great- grandparents. Are you related to Roy and Francis by blood? Please let me know how I can help.
