Bridget (Gurle) Mangan was born in Ireland.

Bridget was born in 1868[1]. She was the daughter of Bernard Gurle and Mary Lang.

The family moved from Ireland to England some time between 1872 and 1881.

England and Wales Census, 1881: Living with her parents, two brothers (Michael age 16, a dock laborer, and Francis age 14, out of employment) and two boarders Thomas Lunny and John Sweeney (who were both working as Labourers) at 14 Cavendish Street, Liverpool, Lancashire, England. Aged 15.

Occupation: Hawker

Bridget married Arthur McIver on 28 November 1889 in St. Joseph's Grosvenor St, Liverpool, England[2]. She was resident at 4/4 Stockdale Street, and Arthur was resident at 10 Stockdale Street.

They went on to have nine children.

UK Census Date 1891: Living with her husband Arthur , two children John (aged 3) and Kate (aged 2), and four lodgers at 28 Marlborough Street, Liverpool, Lancashire, England. Aged 22. Her husband was a Carter.

By the Census of 1901 Bridget and Arthur were living at 44 Westmoorland Street, Liverpool, Lancashire, England with their five children John, Catherine, Edward, Matthew and Arthur. She was now 32 years of age.

Her husband Arthur was tragically drowned in 1903 leaving Bridget a widow.

She married, secondly, Matthew Mangan in 1908 at Liverpool, Lancashire, England[3].

They had two children together.

UK Census Date 1911: Living with her husband Matthew, seven children and one servant at 28 Cockspur Street, Liverpool, Lancashire, England. Aged 41. Her husband was a Flour Mill Labourer.

Her husband Matthew passed away in 1936.

She passed away in 1939 at the age of 60 and was buried at Ford Cemetery, Ford, Metropolitan Borough of Sefton, Merseyside, England[4]. Plot: Section R, plot 835

The Grave includes Bridget (she was the deed holder too) and her granddaughter Agnes Blackburn; neither of whom are listed on the headstone but are found in the burial records for Ford.
