Gene Edward Gurley was born on 12 January 1953 in Cheyenne, Laramie, Wyoming, United States, son of Alva Lee Gurley (1916–2003) and Zella May Aday (1915–2003).

Gene (43) married Deborah Louise Anders (38) (born on 3 March 1958 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, USA; daughter of Roy Dee Anders and Ruby Marie Cowan) on 31 October 1996 in Grayson, Texas, United States.[2]
Gene died on 11 August 2018 in Oklahoma, United States, aged 65. He was buried in Memorial Park Cemetery, Ada, Pontotoc County, Oklahoma, USA.[3]
