Biography

Hannah Gurley was born May 5, 1791 and married Anson Turner of Mansfield, Connecticut April 22 1814. She was the mother of 8 children: Ursula Jane (born August 15, 1815 and died December 14, 1843), Mary Abigail (born April 30, 1817 and died November 1, 1824), Phineas Ward (born November 24, 1819), Hannah Brigham (born October 23, 1821 and died October 3, 1874, unmarried), Henry Fayette (born July 24, 1824), twin daughters (born December 14, 1826 and died in infancy), and Jacob Gurley (born May 4, 1828 and died July 11, 1834). Hannah Gurley Turner died March 18, 1884 at the age of 92 years.
